Each Stamp of Excellence, inc. rubber art stamp is individually handcrafted with great care from the highest quality deep etched (for true image reproduction) natural red rubber. Next, in most cases, the die is secured by a 1/8th inch cushion to a 3/4th inch thick hard maple wood mount with side finger grooves. Most stamps are indexed on top with a clear black inked image, then finished with a protective, high-gloss lacquer which prevents image loss caused by cleaning and handling. Since some of our select designs have rubber mounted on two to six sides of the wood they may not have finger grooves and may not have an area for imaging. Our guarantee at Stamp of Excellence, inc. is that we feel confident you will appreciate the highest standard of quality that is found throughout our entire line of stamps and accessories. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with any of our products, we will promptly replace or exchange your purchase at your request. Our policy is "A satisfied stamper is a happy stamper." The staff at Stamp of Excellence, inc. continually work to produce each rubber art stamp to its truest perfection. We do not check by pre imaging each stamp before it is shipped because we are aware of our customers desire to receive "fresh, clean" rubber. Although we closely hand trim each die, once in awhile you may receive a stamp from us, or any other manufacturer, that will over print an edge or with two much pressure, ink the center open area of a design. Eliminating this troublesome problem is quite simple. Using a sharp utility knife cut away the excess rubber. It is most easily done by making small "V shaped" cuts and then inking and checking your progress as you trim. Now you are ready to have every stamp in your collection create true works of heart! Rubber art stamps, like any treasured collectable, will remain in wonderful heirloom condition if you follow a few simple rules of care. Always keep the stamps out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources, as exposure will tend to "dry" the rubber and thus cause it to harden on even crack. Careful cleaning after each use, or before changing ink colors, and always before storing, will insure long life to all your precious stamps. Simply wet the rubber with water or a commercial stamp cleaning product, then stamp until clean on a dampened sponge, paper towel, or commercial cleaning tray. Remember that you only want to re-ink with a totally dry rubber stamp. For removal of heavier color build up such as with the use of pigment inks, the "light" use of a soft toothbrush and mild soap will help. It is important to note that each stamp will have its own unique stamping personality as to the amount of pressure required to make the stamp's very best impression. So practice a few times with each new image before going for an award-winning masterpiece. |
